Another attendee using the Wright hand punch model 2600. To use this punch you need to push the right combination of the 12 buttons for the character you want to punch. Fancier versions were available that you selected the letter and it punched the correct holes and printed the character at the top of the card. If you were really lucky you had a keypunch machine.
