This is the Dremel drill press I used to drill the handles. The wood block with the nail was used to align the handles. Make sure you have a good grip on the handle since if it moves it will enlarge the hole. I used .055 inch steel music wire from a local hobby store for the pins. I found the holes ended up a little over-sized when drilled. I think I found a #55 (.052 inch) drill worked best but I can't find where I wrote the drill size down.
I used a cutoff wheel in the Dremel to first round the end of the wire by spinning it in my fingers against the wheel. I then used the Dremel to cut off the proper length for the pin.
