This shows the 708 power supply reinstalled in the PDP-8. The meter in the center, knob below and switch are used to set the margin voltage for checking the logic. The margin switches select which cards are powered from the margin supply. This allows detection of failing cards during routine maintenance before they fail during normal operation.
