The right capacitor is an original Cornell Dubilier COMPUTAMITE FAH 792-1LP 35,000 uF 25 V capacitor that needed replacement. On the left is the replacement Mepco/Electra 86F691MA 36,000 uF -10%+75% 30 VDC capacitor. The date code says they are from 1978, 13 years newer than the original capacitors. I couldn't find any new capacitors that were close enough in looks, size, and rating. The original capacitors measured between 50,000 and 94,000 uF (much higher than rated) and .04 ohm ESR. The replacement capacitors measured 45,000 to 50,000 uF and .02-.03 ohm ESR.
The best I could find for terminals for the new capacitors were Keystone 1258 quick disconnect terminals. The original terminals were riveted on so couldn't be removed. The terminals I bought were bent so I had to straighten them and also drill out the center hole.
