Card cage of DF32 disk drive. The empty card slots are where the interface cables to the computer and the daisy chain cables to the next peripheral plug in. The red cables are coax carrying the head data signals. The ribbon cable carries the head select signals. The colored wires on the right carry the DC power to the cards. You can see on some of the cards blue and gray variable resistors used to adjust the unit to best operation. The white W103 cards at the middle bottom with the numbers decode the address (IOT) for the control registers. Some of the other cards have writing on them from previous maintainers so they could easily find the card for a particular function. Picture of cards ( 54K) with obscuring cables unplugged.
