Top view from right side of drive with covers removed. A pack is mounted in the drive. The AC input is in the lower left (watch those fingers). To the left the relays control power to the spindle motor and other parts of the drive. Above them is the head positioner which uses a voice coil type driver similar to a speaker. Above that is the air blower and electronics card cage. To the right is a disk pack. When the pack is inserted into the drive it opens the door to allow the heads to get into the pack. The pack is held to the spindle magneticly
