PDP-8/M & Calcomp 563 Plotter at Rockville Science Day 2026

The Program Coordinator for Rockville Science Center invited me to exhibit at Rockville Science Day. I decided to bring something easy to move this year. This was variant of the 2024 bouncing ball simulation except plotted instead of typed on the Teletype.

I taped sheet of 8.5x11" paper to the drum with removable tape to make it easy to give the plots away. From the pile of tape I gave away about 24 plots over the 5 hours. I tricked kids into wanting a graph. Didn't get as long a line as some times but was busy most of the day. Was a little slow at the beginning. Everything behaved this time.
