Behind is Teletype picture of Kennedy sent over wire service by United Press International when he was killed. Paper tape is tape labeled picture data for TV picture of secretary showing people we doing similar stuff back in they day. Haven't decoded it yet. Next is page from 1972 Rolling Stone magazine where they used ASCII art picture with article. Next is Atari Compugraph Foto ASCII art photo booth brochure *1. To the right were some DEC manuals. Behind it is the sample printout on modern printer of the ASCII/Teletype art pictures I had on the tape to print on my printer. Many were multiple page. I converted the sample printouts to single page. Peaking out from behind the book is the color filters I used with the camera. Back left is VT105 terminal controlling the PDP-8.
*1 My understanding is they made a prototype and showed it off at a trade show but didn't go into production. Couldn't find site with more info when I looked this time. Did see that Pacific Novelty did sell some Computer Portrait ASCII art machines Other companies such as Creative Amusement Services Inc (CASI) also made them. Info 1 Info 2
