Here it looks like the white wire had been damaged and taped at some point. The white piece that looked like self adhesive label was covering the edge of the metal to protect the wires. The adhesive dried out so it fell off. I put on some caterpillar grommet to replace it so it looked more like the other side (1.8K) and was better protected.
