This is the back side of one of the two fans which cools the VR14. The grease/oil often leaks out or gets hard in the old fans so they need to be taken apart, cleaned and re-lubricated. Most of the fans are sleeve bearings but this one is ball bearing. The ball bearing seems to last much better but these were not running well and making bad noises. The fans run off of the AC line.
The small clip isn't the correct one, it got away when I was taking it apart. The correct clip is smaller, I had to file this one down to get it to fit.
